Hello, my name is Maida Guajardo. I offer individual and couples therapy. Whether you're a teen or adult looking to navigate anxiety, perfectionism or ADHD, or a couple seeking to strengthen your bond, I'm here to provide a supportive space for positive transformation.

I  strongly believe in the uniqueness of each person, and I customize each treatment plan to align with your individual needs and objectives. Anxiety, depression, and ADHD are common challenges that can impact every aspect of our lives. Generally, our focus is on empowering you with effective strategies and insights to manage these challenges. In couples therapy, if you're navigating communication challenges, intimacy concerns, or other relational hurdles, I'm dedicated to facilitating a safe space for both partners to express their feelings and work towards a stronger, more connected partnership.

 

I have experience in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered approach, working with teens, adolescents, and families. I received my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio. In graduate school, I worked with the athletics department to address sports-related mental health challenges with students. Additionally, I worked in a hospital setting, assisting patients in their mental health during the rehabilitation process. In both settings anxiety, depression and history of trauma were common needs for treatment.

I currently accept Aetna or provide sessions at the out-of-pocket rate of $100. If necessary, we will generate a super bill for your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
